FISHING COMPETITION

in the beautiful waters surrounding Tumby Bay

Although we can't fish from the Tumby Bay jetty, we can from boats, kayaks, shorelines and rocks.

​

Commencing from 8am till 12pm, fishermen and women can drop a line in the water anywhere within 25km of Tumby Bay. Please note, however, no fishing is permitted in Salt Creek or Second Creek Marine Sanctuary zones. For maps showing these areas please visit Marine Parks | Maps and coordinates

 

Measure at 12.30pm at the fish cleaning bench at the shoreline of the jetty.

 

Prizes (senior and junior (16 under) categories) for the largest:

  • King George Whiting

  • Bream

  • Squid

  • Herring (Tommy Rough)

  • Salmon

 

8am - 12pm, Saturday 11 March

$50 first prize, $20 second prize and trophy for longest whiting

Hang around for some live music, the aerobatics display, fireworks and the comedy show to round out a good Saturday out.
