Sailing Regatta

Get ready to set sail into a sea of excitement.

Kindly sponsored by Nutrien Ag and facilitated by the Tumby Bay yacht Club, this thrilling event with a yardstick points race format is a highlight of the festival, offering both beginner and seasoned sailors and enthusiastic spectators a chance to experience the vibrant maritime culture of Tumby Bay.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday 08 March 2025

• Time: 11am - 4:30pm (approximately)

• Location: Tumby Bay Yacht Club, 37 Tumby Tce, Tumby Bay

Entrant Information:

• Registration available on the day with race briefing taking place at 11am.

• Entry is FREE and cash prizes are up for grabs!

Format & Eligibility:

• 2 x 60 minute yardstick races taking place over an approximately 500m windward-leeward gated course.

• The regatta is open to all centreboard class dinghies, sailboards and catamarans with an Australian Sailing Yardstick.

• Sailing will be conducted on the waters between the TBYC and the Tumby Bay jetty.

Schedule:

• 11:00am Briefing for Yardstick competitors at TBYC

• 11:45am-12:45pm Tumby Yardstick Points Race Heat 1

• 2:30pm-3:30pm Tumby Yardstick Points Race Heat 2

• 4:30pm (approximately) Presentations at the Yacht Club
