FISHING COMPETITION

in the beautiful waters surrounding Tumby Bay

7am - 5pm, Sunday 10 March

$1,000 in prizes up for grabs!

F R E E   E N T R Y

Although we can't fish from the Tumby Bay jetty, we can from boats, kayaks, shorelines and rocks.

Commencing from 7am and concluding with last measurement at 5pm on the grassed area at the Tumby Bay Marina boat ramp, fishermen and women can drop a line in the water anywhere within 25km of Tumby Bay. Please note, fishing is not permitted in Salt Creek or Second Creek Marine Sanctuary zones. M E A S U R E   I N

Anytime between 7 - 5pm fish can be measured at the boat ramp to be in the running for prizes in

senior and junior (16 and under) categories for the longest:

  • Whiting

  • Squid

  • Herring (Tommy Rough)

  • Salmon

  • Mystery fish!

PRIZES

Spot On vouchers $50 adult and junior for all categories, $25 adult and junior runner up all categories, plus many other prizes!

Look out also for the casting competition while near the boat ramp!

Before registering, please read the waiver of liability below.

Your registration to this competition means you are bound by this waiver.  

All fishing competitions expose participants to risks of injury from fall from rocks/boat or similar, accidents while loading or unloading boat, boat collisions, capsizing in rough weather, falling overboard, severe weather, exposure to elements, fish hooks lodged in body, cut feet and various other perils associated with fishing.

  1. I understand the inherent risks involved in recreational fishing competitions and by my registration, I hereby release, waive and discharge the District Council of Tumby Bay, and respective employees and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of actions whatsover arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by a person, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in the Colour Tumby Unplugged Fishing Competition.

  2. I am fully aware of the risks, and am voluntarily participating in the competition, and assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, personal damage, personal injury or death that may be sustained, or any loss or damage to property as a result of being involved in the competition.

  3. I further hereby agree to indemnify the District Council of Tumby Bay from any loss, liability, damage or costs that my incur due to participation in the activity.
